In this beautifully repackaged trade paperback reissue from Joanne Fluke's New York Times bestselling Hannah Swensen Mysteries, everyone in Lake Eden, Minnesota, may have their doubts, but at long last, Hannah is getting married!
Hannah is thrilled to be marrying Ross Barton, her college crush. And her excitement only grows when she learns he'll be able to join her on her trip to New York City for the Food Channel's dessert chef contest. They get a taste of the Big Apple before Hannah wins the Hometown Challenge and the producers bring all the contestants to Lake Eden to tape the remainder of the show. It's nerve-wracking enough being judged by Alain Duquesne, a celebrity chef with a nasty reputation. But it's even more chilling to find him stabbed to death in the Lake Eden Inn's walk-in cooler--before he's even had a chance to taste Hannah's Butterscotch Sugar Cookies! Now Hannah has not only lost her advantage, she'll have to solve a mystery with more layers than a five-tiered wedding cake...

I always get a kick out of Joanne Fluke’s character Hannah Swenson. The characters and plot always keep me curious but they are never overly violent.
I only gave 2 stars because the very 1st chapter in the book starts out with 2 older women interfering with her choice to have a small wedding. Of course you expect it from the hypocritical mom, Delores but the fact a thirty-something woman would worry about the busybody town gossips whispering "Oh, that was quick, she must be pregnant.". Seriously? Wedding Cake Murder was written/published in 2017, not 1817.I'm extremely disappointed.
I love this book although I was surprised that she married Ross . I hope they have a great honeymoon
After a national desert contest that she won, capturing the murderer of the head judge of the contest, escaping barely by hiding in a dumpster. Hannah is finally dressed in her wedding dress in the front of the church saying “I do” when asked if she will love, honor and cherish… what will happen next to our baking sleuth?
So loved this book! Filled with so many things going on with the characters. Twisty mystery was fantastic and I loved the ending!!! Love how the recipe are both right after the chapter they were mentioned in and at the end of the book too
