Read on KU.I freaking loved this book!It was a great mix of MM romance, Scream and When a stranger calls 📞I don't read a lot of the Dom/Sub but I definitely appreciated it throughout the book, spiced things up and left you thinking what's next.For sure check the triggers listed at the beginning if there's something you're not comfortable with.Nothing overly bothered me, I liked how the main characters freak matched each other.Under all the ropes, kink, and intensity there is heart warming romance and a real connection between two lost people who are trying to get a better life for themselves after the world has treated them so harshly. I wanted worse for the actual villain, the rich jerk, but the fact they got some revenge against him was good enough. I was happy Dax and Reed got the ending they hoped for after all the messSpoiler: (was kinda hoping Reed found the safe first and won the bet at the end but I wasn't upset by what we got, iykyk 🤭)Highly recommend this book, it's a very fun ride with enough emotion to make you root for the characters and keep you wanting to find out what happens.Great read! 👍
Coincidentally the perfect book to read after watching Scream 7. Literally had its hooks in me & I couldn’t put down. All the storyline converged to make a great & entertaining read.
4.5 stars! 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗 this is so incredibly fun and creepy. It’s the perfect read for those nights when it gets dark all too early. Sit down with this and avoid your windows. Until you very much don’t want to avoid your windows 😜. I never thought I would find a book this kinky that is at the same time this nerdy and it’s absolutely perfect because of that. Dax has that whole broody angst daddy thing going on and Reed throws it right back to him with some epic “I’m not afraid of YOU” moments in which…yeah he was very much afraid…but in a spicy way. I was biting my nails and then giggling with my heels clicking together within pages of one another. I cannot wait to read what’s next from TJ Sky and if the cover of the next book is any indication…this series is going to keep making me swoon over stuff I really shouldn’t be swooning about (hello ropes, knives, and…wait spandex superhero costumes? Yeah…buckle up).
I am a big fan of Timothy's contemporary works so when I saw he was dipping his toes into dark romance my intrigue was piqued. TJ Sky keeps you on edge while giving you alll spicy fun stuff! I'm anxious to see what the next one will be and love that he is taking chances with his writing.
