The jacket photos are people wearing fake costumes of Plains Indian Tribes and have ZERO resemblance to anything Cherokee. They also show teepees which or Cherokee people NEVER lived in anywhere. The only thing "educational" this book could be used for is to show how totally ignorant the writer/ publisher are of Native American culture.
I donβt know the contents of this book, and I know you shouldnβt judge a book by its cover BUT Cherokee have never used feather head dresses. The traditional headwear is a turban. If you are actually looking to teach your child about Cherokee heritage, I would suggest looking for something else.
