Wild Eyes (Deluxe Edition)

4.5 stars! I’m so glad I continued on with this series, cause while the first book didn’t work for me that well, this one really did! This is a small town romance where he’s a single dad and she’s a country singer taking a break. She comes to town to record at Rose Hill Records (seen in the first book), which is right next door to where he lives.West is a single dad to his 2 kids and a horse trainer. Skylar is a country singer who needed a break from her career and life in L.A. so she takes a trip to record with Ford Grant (the hero of book 1). Rosie (the heroine of book 1) puts Skylar up in the bunkhouse her brother West owns next door. West and Skylar had already met at the beginning of the book involving a meet cute moment with a grizzly bear 😬! Skylar finds out her contracts and career life had been taken advantage of for years and is trying to get herself back on track in the small town.This book was a lot of fun and I liked the emotional elements to the story. His kids were cute and I liked their relationship with her, her parrot Cherry was so fun and I liked seeing West spend time with her bird too, him calling her “fancy face”. The audiobook was fantastic, along with the narrators there are musical recordings of a few of the songs Skylar sings as well throughout the story.

Weston and Skylar's story was amazing. I really loved every word. They way they met on the side of the road to how she bonded with his kids to how protective he was of her. It was fantastic. The chemistry between these two was off the charts. Sklyar was going through a major life crisis and learning about who she wants to be. I loved how she gained back her strength and fight for the life she really wanted. West was amazing with het from the start. He was so sweet to her, yet he didn't hide his attraction and desire. It was fire. The kids were wonderful, and they added so much to the story. I loved them so much. I loved every word of this story!

I absolutely love this book. I read it in two days after reading Wild Love. I am a Huge fan of Elsie Silver.This story has so much warmth and emotions that had the perfect amount of character building and plot. I was a West lover in Book 1 and knew he’d be in book two and I was eager to read.It has some spicy scenes too. 😉Book Three, I’ll see you very soon.

Love Sky and Weston’s love. Only wish the reunion had been dragged out a little longer, but all in all such a good story.

Honestly, from the first chapter, I was hooked. I had to know what was going to happen with the bears! The writing style grabbed me, and the story reeled me all the way in. Loved all the characters in this book. Really liked Skylar’s path to finding confidence in herself. I was definitely rooting for her. West was such a great partner to her, just being there for her, letting her find her way. I look forward to reading more about their life together in the rest of the series.
