Wildly witty and wickedly fun, A Killer Wedding is an escapist mystery that proves you'll never forget your wedding day...especially if it starts with a murder.
Christine can't believe her luck. The iconic Gloria Beaufort, founder of the billion-dollar beauty empire Glo, has personally chosen her to cover her grandson's wedding for Bespoke, the cult fashion magazine that every A-list bride dreams of being featured in. A career-making scoop and a free trip to a castle turned five-star hotel on the Emerald Isle? It feels too good to be true...
Because it is.
Gloria is found dead on the very first morning of the celebratory weekend, and her entire family wants to keep her death a secret and for the wedding to march on. When Gloria's heirs issue a chilling warning to Christine to keep things quiet, she can't help but wonder if one of them is guilty. There's the son who's hiding a damaging lawsuit; the resentful daughter-in-law; the grandson who's had a few too many run-ins with the law; his ambitious wife who's hiding more than one secret; and Gloria's favorite grandchild, the picture-perfect groom. As Christine navigates a world where glamour masks grimy secrets and everyone she meets is a suspect, she realizes that among this glitzy elite, nothing is as it seems.
Set against the dazzling backdrop of ultimate luxury and an endless reveal of surprises, A Killer Wedding is a fast-paced, humorous mystery the pulls back the curtain on toxic family dynamics hidden beneath the surface of billionaire-level wealth.

What a great debut, can’t wait to watch this creative career grow. The setting was fantastic and I could easily picture myself at the wedding. Secrets, lies and family ties. It was impossible to know who to trust!Thank you Joan O’Leary and William Morrow for the opportunity to read and review this book.
I want to go to a glamorous wedding in an Irish castle now. Well, minus the drama that ensues at this particular wedding! This was a fun mystery with a whole cast of characters. Kept me guessing the entire time.
Christine, an up-and-coming lifestyle reporter, gets her dream assignment: a feature article on a billionaire's grandson's lavish destination wedding at a historic Irish Castle. Then, a woman is killed, and Christine discovers that underneath the opulence lies a deeply dysfunctional family whose members all seem to be hiding something. Through Christine's eyes, you feel like you get a peek behind the scenes of what the uber-rich are really like. Plus, the detailed descriptions of the over-the-top clothes, food, and decor make you feel like you are at the wedding. This is a very satisfying thriller told from several different points of view. It keeps you on the edge of your seat, never knowing who to trust. I highly recommend this book. It's worth noting that I found the large cast of characters hard to keep straight at first, but once I got a little into the book. I had no troubles.
A Killer Wedding is a glamorous, darkly humorous whodunit that drops freelance journalist Christine Russo into the most chaotic assignment of her career—a lavish Irish castle wedding that turns into a full-blown investigation when beauty-empire matriarch Gloria Beaufort is found dead before the festivities even begin. What should have been a career-making feature quickly spirals into secrets, threats, and a family eager to bury the truth long enough to walk down the aisle.I thought the premise was fantastic, and the book delivers a fun blend of luxury, family drama, and mystery. The plot is intricate and full of twists, and once things pick up, it’s genuinely hard to put down. I also enjoyed the structure—flashbacks, multiple perspectives, and a steady drip of revelations that kept me guessing until the end. That said, the story does start slow, and there are a lot of threads to keep track of. Most of the cast is intentionally unlikeable—bougie, messy, and morally gray—which fits the tone but sometimes made it harder to stay emotionally invested.Still, the mystery itself is entertaining, well-executed, and filled with enough humor, absurdity, and “rich people behaving badly” energy to keep the pages turning.Overall, while it didn’t fully resonate with me, A Killer Wedding is a clever, fast-paced, and stylish murder mystery that fans of dark humor, complicated family dynamics, and glamorous chaos will absolutely enjoy. ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 3.75 StarsI received an arc copy. This review is voluntary and 100% honest.
3.5 stars rounded up to 4stars✨What it is about:Christine thinks she’s scored her dream assignment covering a luxe wedding, but when the family matriarch turns up dead and everyone wants to keep it quiet, Christine finds herself in the middle of a high society mystery where glamour hides some serious secrets.✨💭My thoughts:As soon as I hear wedding, I’m there. I love a story centered around a wedding! This was a super layered murder mystery set in an Irish castle, focused on a very dysfunctional family. The characters, though surrounded by luxury and seemingly having it all, were hiding major secrets and plenty of skeletons in their closets. They were quite the bunch.Everyone is gathered for the event of the season: Gloria Beaufort’s grandson’s wedding. Thanks to Gloria’s billion dollar beauty empire, the family is enjoying a week long celebration. Christine is thrilled to be covering the event, but the last thing she expects is for Gloria to turn up dead, and for the entire family to try to cover it up and carry on with the festivities! Can you even imagine the chaos? There are a ton of characters to keep up with, multiple points of view, and several timelines. A lot happens, so you definitely need to pay close attention not to miss anything. There’s plenty of suspense, but in the end, everything comes together nicely. That said, some suspension of disbelief is definitely required. Everything is tied up in too a neat of a bow by the end. The pacing lags a little in spots, but it quickly picks back up.For a debut, I think the author did a good job handling the shifting timelines and the unlikeable characters.Read if you like:🏰Irish castle settings🏰Whodunnit stories🏰Murder mysteries🏰Multiple POVs🏰Multiple timelines🏰Family drama (rich people behaving badly)🏰High society⚠️CW: Death of a family member, blood, alcohol.
