This WWII fiction was great! I liked how all of the characters were woven together. The importance of each character showed the reasons Leisel did what she did.
Very great price. This book was a summer reading from my child's school.
Gave this an A+ because I’m still thinking of the characters weeks after finishing the book! Warning: this book has a strange beginning, but read on! Once you get past it the writing & plot are outstanding!
Very well written and moving. I recommend this book to every one of all ages. It’s a different World War II story than any I have ever read.
I’ve read this book twice now about 15 years apart and thoroughly enjoyed it each time. The author does a fantastic job of narrating from a very unique perspective.
