As I read this book I kept thinking "how would the politics underlying the story appeal to my wife" who would clearly align with a main character? I determined that alignment would lead her to love the book too, an unusual occurrence in our family. The doorman is a clever vehicle.
Poking us all for our quirks while wrapped in a tension filled story moves this book along at a good clip. At a couple of points I find myself wondering if I’ve missed something but come to find that’s a style thing. Entertaining for sure and glad to have Chris back in action!
Chris Pavone's writes beautifully, but the fact that his mastery of the craft is partly obfuscated by layers of spontaneity and contemporary jargon takes the writing to an even higher level of excellence.I enjoyed this book immensely.
Good not great!!
Wonderful! Chris Pavone.gets the details right in this intrigue in grand Upper West Side co-op. Sorry to finish reading about recognizable people, and what' possible among this city's ultra-rich.
