Life in tiny Lake Eden, Minnesota, is usually pleasantly uneventful. Lately, though, it seems everyone has more than their fair share of drama especially the Swensen family. With so much on her plate, Hannah Swensen can hardly find the time to think about her bakery let alone the town s most recent murder . . . Hannah is nervous about the upcoming trial for her involvement in a tragic accident. She s eager to clear her name once and for all, but her troubles only double when she finds the judge bludgeoned to death with his own gavel and Hannah is the number one suspect. Now on trial in the court of public opinion, she sets out in search of the culprit and discovers that the judge made more than a few enemies during his career. With time running out, Hannah will have to whip up her most clever recipe yet to find a killer more elusive than the perfect brownie . . .

Such a wonderful author bringing her well developed characters to life with every page you turn. I love the methodology her main character Hannah uses to solve murders. Such an interesting read with great baking recipes. Makes you feel you are right inside the cookie jar.
Hannah's culinary journey is a delightful exploration of flavors and emotions, weaving tog CVether personal stories and delectable recipes that nourish both the body and soul. Her life unfolds like a captivating narrative, transitioning from a magical wedding day to the excitement of multiple marriage proposals, each moment seasoned with passion and unexpected twists. Her cookbook becomes more than just a collection of recipes; it is a heartfelt memoir that captures the essence of love, celebration, and the transformative power of food in connecting people and creating lasting memories.
I like the whodunnit part of this book very much even if the killer came out of nowhere. I’ve never cared much about Hannah’s love life, and this one is more that than murder mystery. Still , very entertaining.
I just love Joanna Fluke’s Hannah Swensen books. Double Fudge Brownie Murder didn’t disappoint. It was a lot of fun to read!
A fun read with the typical twists and turns only Joanne can produce! And I love all the recipes explained in terms even I understand.
