This was my favorite Tessa Bailey book to date. They are usually cute and fun but this one made me excited with anticipation. The descriptions made me connect with the characters. I do think that the scandal of steps getting together was way blown out of proportion but maybe I don’t get modern day society…

cute story

Lots of spice. The way these two fell for each other right away was on another level. Could see the twist at the end, glad they had there HEA

Very fun read!

Sig Gauthier is officially a top 5 book boyfriend, no question. The insta-love/connection and inability to stay away from each other with the forbidden aspect was MADDENING but also so much fun!Great pacing, palpable sexual tension, and a good little twist at the end. A bit predictable? yes. But such a fun, light read that pulled me in and had me rooting for the main characters.Honorable mention to Pierre and the Orgasm Donors for the comic relief😂😂😂

Redeeming Third Entry In The Big Shots Series

Having read the first two novels in the Big Shots series and being supremely disappointed by The Au Pair Affair (due to its lack of development, constant, read overcompensation of smut, and cheesy and off putting dialogue), I was half weary of reading Dream Girl Drama and half hopeful it would redeem the second novel. Luckily, Dream Girl Drama was a return to the quality of Tessa Bailey’s work, nay perhaps has the best characterization of any of the novels I’ve read by her.Sig and Chloe were given a bit of development in The Au Pair Affair, so jumping into the novel felt as though I was visiting old friends. Bailey’s characters are rich in personality, strengths, and faults, none of which often deter readers. While their relationship borders on questionable and quite bluntly, icky, knowing they met before discovering their parents were getting married (and the fact that they are well into their 20s) may soften the reactions of many readers. Bailey does a fantastic job of making their moral quandary relatable, their chemistry palpable, and their anguish incredibly empathetic. The plot twist was a bit unexpected, but only because I was so engrossed in their story, it didn’t seem possible (although, in retrospect, I should have anticipated it). With the introduction of the next novel’s protagonists in each installment, I spent a good portion of my reading experience questioning when Bailey would give the characters their due. Unlike the first three novels, the next protagonists’ meet cute seemed very short and not developed in any way that would give the ordinary reader a reason to continue. However, since many readers are devoted Bailey fans, I assume the brevity of the introduction won’t deter them from finishing the series. Good thing Pitcher Perfect’s release is only 7 months away. (Note: Since the time of writing this review in February, I have read Pitcher Perfect and am now crossing my fingers for a 5th novel in the series.)

Good, but terrible plot line

Tessa Bailey writes a great story.. and like all her books, the hot steamy romance is on point. However, the conflict and reason they can’t be together is terrible and not believable at all! I had a hard time getting past this portion of the story. No one care that two adults who are unrelated were together. Ugh! I found that so frustrating in an otherwise charming story.
