In the second Myron Bolitar novel, a young woman's tragic death spirals into a shattering drama of menace, secrets, and rage. Suddenly Myron is in over his head--and playing the most dangerous game of all.
"Engaging . . . hilarious."--Los Angeles Times Book Review
Once, Valerie Simpson's tennis career skyrocketed; now, the headlines belong to a player from the wrong side of the tracks. But when Valerie is shot dead in cold blood and dropped outside the stadium at the U.S. Open, sports agent Myron Bolitar investigates the killing and uncovers a connection between the two players and a six-year-old murder at an exclusive mainline club. As Myron is drawn into the case--along with a dirty U.S. senator, a jealous mother, and the mob--he finds himself caught between a killer and the truth.
"Harlan Coben is the modern master of the hook-and-twist."--Dan Brown

Haven’t read much fiction the last couple of years but enjoying this series. Descriptive but not so much detail that it is hard to get through.
If you have read and like Harlan’s books you will enjoy this read. I have read others in the series and can’t wait to get the next one. Just a good sports oriented mystery with twists and turns that most readers will not see coming. Good recreational read.
One of the best recurring characters in fiction today. An incredible read with a very twisted ending. Just another incredible read by Coben.
Let Coben take you on this twisty, mystery highlighted with quick wit, memorable characters and of course, the Win / Myron form of justice Coben fans crave.
I enjoyed reading this very fast paced book. Can’t say I was ever bored but can complain that I lost hours of sleep. The characters were mostly well developed and the gradual unfolding of actual events was intriguing. I figured out a secret about one of the main characters early on but that did not keep me from reading on. The violence was a bit too much for my liking and the exaggerated descriptions of Bolitar’s girlfriend was somewhat foolish. All around, a good read.
