Six summers to fall in love. One moment to fall apart. A weekend to get it right.
They say you can never go home again, and for Persephone Fraser, ever since she made the biggest mistake of her life a decade ago, that has felt too true. Instead of glittering summers on the lakeshore of her childhood, she spends them in a stylish apartment in the city, going out with friends, and keeping everyone a safe distance from her heart.
Until she receives the call that sends her racing back to Barry's Bay and into the orbit of Sam Florek--the man she never thought she'd have to live without.
For six summers, through hazy afternoons on the water and warm summer nights working in his family's restaurant and curling up together with books--medical textbooks for him and work-in-progress horror short stories for her--Percy and Sam had been inseparable. Eventually that friendship turned into something breathtakingly more, before it fell spectacularly apart.
When Percy returns to the lake for Sam's mother's funeral, their connection is as undeniable as it had always been. But until Percy can confront the decisions she made and the years she's spent punishing herself for them, they'll never know whether their love might be bigger than the biggest mistakes of their past.
Told over the course of six years and one weekend, Every Summer After is a big, sweeping nostalgic story of love and the people and choices that mark us forever.

I Love reading and touch on a lot of different genres, had a few favorites but then I came across your books and I LOVE them. Your stories are so touching and fun and heartwarming, they just really touched my heart. I'm so glad I stumbled across your reads as they are really enjoyable☺
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (4.5/5)Every Summer After was everything I hoped it would be—emotional, nostalgic, and impossible to put down. The dual timeline was beautifully done, slowly revealing what happened in the past while keeping me completely invested in the present. I found myself deeply attached to the characters, especially Sam, and I could feel the warmth of the lake, the summers, and the friendships throughout the story. This book perfectly captured the feeling of first love, growing up, making mistakes, and realizing that some people leave a mark on your heart forever. The writing was immersive and heartfelt, and I flew through it because I just had to know how everything would come together. The reason it wasn’t a full five stars for me is that one of the major twists felt a little predictable, and I wanted just a bit more from the ending after such an emotional journey. Even so, it left me smiling and a little teary-eyed.If you enjoy second-chance romance, summer lake settings, emotional coming-of-age stories, and books that make you nostalgic for a place you’ve never been, this one is absolutely worth picking up. I can definitely see why it’s become so popular.
A wonderfully written love story. The approach of telling the story alternately between now and each past summer is perfect for this story.Had me reflecting on loves of my youth, and focusing on gratitude for the love I found for the long haul.I’ve just bought three more of her books.
Loved this book. It was my first Carley Fortune book and definitely won’t be my last. More like a coming of age book which I don’t tend to like, but with the dual timelines, I was able to relate to the older main character.
This is now my second read of Carley’s and I have to say both have been 5 star reads. I’m excited to keep reading them. This book was hard to put down yet easy to read. I didn’t see the ending coming the way it did and was shocked by her secret. But now I’m overly excited to read One Golden Summer.
