Dark romance, high stakes, and plot twists abound in this paperback original YA thriller that's perfect for fans of Colleen Hoover.
What you don't know can hurt you....
It's been months since the accident that killed Ella's best friend, Hayley, and Ella can't stop blaming herself. Now Ella is back at school, and everywhere she looks are reminders of her best friend--including Sawyer, Hayley's boyfriend. Little by little, they grow closer, until Ella realizes something horrifying . . .
She's in love with her dead best friend's boyfriend.
Racked with guilt, Ella turns to Hayley's journal, hoping she'll find something in the pages that will make her feel better about what's happening. Instead, she discovers that Sawyer has secrets of his own and that his relationship with Hayley wasn't as picture-perfect as it seemed.
Ella knows she should stay away but finds herself inextricably drawn to him--and scared of everything she never knew about him. Perhaps it's his grief. Or maybe his desires, cut short by tragedy. Or could it be something twisted only Hayley knew about?
A dark, romantic thriller perfect for fans of Colleen Hoover and Laura Nowlin, Everything We Never Said explores the secrets in even the best of friendships and asks how well you ever know the ones you love.

Better than I ever expected
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I loved this book! Good plot, good story, & it kept my interest from beginning to end.❗️This review may or may not contain spoilers. Proceed at your own risk!❗️❗️This is classified as “young adult” because the main characters are still in high school. Although, the content in this book is a little difficult to read times. Be mindful of your triggers before beginning this book.❗️Typically, dark romance is my genre of choice. I try to stay away from Young Adult because I’m past that point in my life but there were some mature scenes & content in this book that made it seem less YA while reading. I saw these books recommended somewhere, loved the cover art, & decided to order them. I did not realize that this book was considered a “dark, romantic thriller.” I think I missed that part in the description. I was expecting a complete romance novel but was pleasantly surprised with the dark & thrilling elements of the plot. This book went a direction that I was not expecting & that’s where the triggers come into play. I would consider this to be a two part twist. I don’t want to say that I saw the first twist coming because it did take me a little bit by surprise. However, I was suspicious of a couple people while reading. The second twist, I definitely saw coming. I loved the character development, especially Ella’s emotional turmoil & recovery. I wanted to the best for her! I found that everything within the plot wrapped up pretty nicely. After reading & enjoying this story, I plan to read the next release by Sloan Harlow, All We Lost Was Everything.
My daughter read this cover to cover and loved it
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5🌶️Sloan Harlow is an author I never heard of before. My bestie went on a book buying bender and snagged her newest release with pretty sprayed edges. It intrigued me and I decided I wanted to start with her first release.⚫️grief🩵 best friends⚫️ high school love🩵twisted mystery⚫️ trust no oneMarketed as a Young Adult read, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve dabbled in the YA genre. There are some mature scenes within the book, but I think it still fits the YA rating. This book follows Ella, the quiet, dependent, innocent girl after she loses her best friend in a tragic car accident, an accident where she was driving. Ella can’t remember the night of the accident, but months later when she connects with her best friends…boyfriend on a whole new level. She starts to remember parts of that fateful night, also while navigating the guilt for falling for her best friends boyfriend. She soon discovers there may be more to that night then what meets the eye. Ella finds herself not trusting anyone but her guidance counselor. Will she work through the night of the accident in time or will it be too late?
Page turner!
