A scandalous arrangement between a hellion heiress and destitute duke reveals truths that neither can outrun....
As the youngest and most rebellious daughter of the overly protective Luna family, Gabriela Luna Valdés claws after her freedom in any way she can. This time, her hunger for adventure has led her aboard a windswept ship bearing for her homeland, away from a mob of fumbling British suitors. But Gabby can't escape her father's expectation that she settle down to find a proper husband--a compromise she's unwilling to make.
For Sebastian Brooks, Duke of Whitfield, the trip to Mexico is his last chance. His last chance to rectify his family's estate and refill their dwindling coffers. And his last chance to match wits with the sharp-tongued but deliciously tempting Gabriela.
When Gabby finds herself in need of a hasty escape, Sebastian agrees to assist her...but their close proximity sparks a red-hot passion that could ruin all their plans. With scandal looming, can Sebastian convince Gabby his regard is sincere or will she sail away with his heart?

4.5 stars.I loved "Gabriela and His Grace" by Liana De la Rosa, and I am so sad the Luna Sisters series has ended! I adored the Duke of Whitfield, Sebastian Brooks, and Gabriela Luna. I loved their chemistry, the tension between them, the forced proximity aspect, how he defends her to her horrible father and the gossipers of their town, how she brings out the best in him, their banter, their passion, their eventual love for one another. This story made me laugh, it made me tear up, it made me swoon, and it made me blush! I found this book to be perfectly paced, not overlong in the slightest, and full of wonderful glimpses of the other two Luna sisters and their families. I LOVED the ending of this book. Equally excellent is the way the sisters band together and support each other in their times of need. This series really gives one of the best displays of sisterhood I have ever read! I appreciated all of the historical details in this story, and I feel like I learned quite a bit about this period in history. Please give this series a chance, even if you think you're not into historical romances! It is near perfection!
This book was such a fun, romantic escape. Gabriella and Her Grace gave me everything I wanted: adventure, sizzling chemistry, and a heroine who refuses to play by the rules.Gabriela is fiery, clever, and determined to live life on her own terms, and I loved every second of her sparring (and flirting) with Sebastian. He could have been just another broody duke, but instead he is vulnerable, charming, and surprisingly sweet. Their banter is sharp, their passion is off the charts, and I found myself grinning at their softer moments too.The Mexican setting adds a richness to the story that feels fresh and vivid in a genre that often relies on London ballrooms. I loved how the history and culture were woven into the plot without ever slowing down the romance or adventure. My only complaint is that it left me wanting even more of Gabriela and Sebastian.Tropes:💃 Rebellious heiress👑 Brooding duke⚡ Enemies-to-lovers🛶 Forced proximity🔥 Top tier banter💍 Scandal?I like my historical romances full of adventure, heart, and plenty of steam, this one does not disappoint. Liana De La Rosa is definitely becoming a favorite, and I cannot wait for beautiful stories from her.
Five huge stars for the final book in Liana De la Rosa's Luna Sisters series, Gabriela and His Grace. There have been hints at the pairing between Gabriela and the Duke of Whitfield (Sebastian) in past books - the animosity and banter were surely hiding something! After a disappointing trip home to Mexico, Gabriela needs to quickly return to England. Sebastian, as a friend of her brother-in-laws, agrees to help her escape - but the time together and forced proximity end up leading to much more.Gabby and Sebastian have the best banter-filled chemistry, and I adored reading their romance! Once they get past their dislike and misunderstandings, true friendship, attraction, respect, and love remain. Liana does a fantastic job of swirling in historical facts in her books, and I wanted to learn more about Mexico's fight for independence from French invaders after finishing the series. I highly, highly recommend this one to fans of strong woman leads, a man who falls first (without even realizing it!), loving sisterly ties, and important history woven throughout. Narrator Ruby Hunt was superb in her work for this August favorite of mine, and I loved how she brought Gabriela and Sebastian's love to life.Thank you PRH Audio and Berkley Romance for the audiobook and advanced reading copy, receipt of which did not impact my review.
Maybe my favorite or the 3 books. The series is wrapped up with a perfect bow. Well done!
4.5/5 Gabriela is outspoken in her thoughts and since joining London society, one that usually squashes feminine boldness, Gabby has shined. She’s clever and involved with political issues but despite all that gentlemen of the ton haven’t seen past her pretty face and dowry. When an opportunity to return home to Mexico comes about, Gabby is on the dock to leave when she finds out Sebastian will be joining her. After a poor but memorable first impression four years prior, Gabby and Sebastian haven’t had anything nice to say to one another. But it definitely hadn’t stopped them either. Sebastian never bothered trying to change her opinion of him because secretly, he enjoys the no nonsense way Gabby treats him.The plot is familiar and comfortable and I enjoyed the journey each character went on. Slowly peeling back layers of perceived assumptions and vulnerabilities to reveal who they are and what they’re both wanting. I loved the tension as they weigh whether they should take the first step out of their comfort zone and what it all means. All while dealing with family dynamics that influence their actions. There’s lot of traveling with two Atlantic voyages and time spent in Mexico and England. We only got a peek into Mexico in the last book and glad that more time was spent there in this one. As well as, time with Isabel and Ana Maria even though there’s an ocean separating the sisters.I’m sad this series is over as I’ve loved getting to explore the Second French invasion of Mexico through the eyes of the Luna sisters while they each find their place and a HEA with men who value who they are and not what they can give.Gabriela and His Grace is the third book in the Luna Sisters trilogy. It’s a slow burn with four open door encounters.I received an advance reader copy from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
