This book is where all the secrets come out. It was a bit slow in some places but absolutely worth the read
I love the pace of this book and the new characters introduced. Fast paced and with lots of twists and turns.
This review will contain spoilers.Overall, I enjoyed this book. Well, 2/3 POVs.First, Celaena's story in this was great. This was her overcoming her grief and allowing herself to gain the power she subdued. It's a great healing journey.I feel like her and Rowan seem just smashed together. It was like at one point they hated each other, and then almost immediately they were claiming each other. It didn't feel like there was any kind of build up to their friendship.Chaol and Dorians story was great as well. Love the rebels, and learning to control his magic.I just didn't care for Manon. I'm assuming this was just build up for another part in another story, but it honestly felt so useless. I found myself just skimming her parts so I could get over it faster. I didn't feel connected to her or her story.
the plot, the build up, so good. The characters finding themselves and finally stepping up is so mind blowly written
The characters arc in this book was fantastic. I love Maas' writing. It paints a picture, develops a plot, and completely enthralls the reader in a story of heroic proportions. The reader is able to fall in love, loathe, and yearn for the characters she presents to us all while using an elegant form of writing with a modern twist.
