Ten years after the high-profile kidnapping of two young boys, only one returns home in this gripping #1 New York Times bestselling Myron Bolitar thriller from the bestselling author and creator of the hit Netflix drama The Stranger.

A decade ago, kidnappers grabbed two boys from wealthy families and demanded ransom, then went silent. No trace of the boys ever surfaced. For ten years their families have been left with nothing but painful memories and a quiet desperation for the day that has finally, miraculously arrived: Myron Bolitar and his friend Win believe they have located one of the boys, now a teenager. Where has he been for ten years, and what does he know about the day, more than half a life ago, when he was taken? And most critically: What can he tell Myron and Win about the fate of his missing friend? Drawing on his singular talent, Harlan Coben delivers an explosive and deeply moving thriller about friendship, family, and the meaning of home.

Amazing book!

This book took me in from the beginning. Harlan Coben's storytelling never fails to amaze me. He takes you to every scene, like you are there in person. I have such a clear picture in my mind what everyone looks like. If I had any artistic talent, I could draw every character and every scene in detail. I highly recommend this to everyone, even if you've never read his books before.

Pure beauty trumps the ugliest truth

I hope this isn't the end of the Myron Bolitar series. It's been spectacular. The whole series is filled with O'Henryesque twists, phenomenal and consistent characters, research that only amplifies the opaque plots, and settings that make the entire series feel oh so real. This book beats all, despite how ugly the truth was because in my opinion, the other parts of the conclusion are pure beauty. And pure beauty trumps the ugliest truth. Harlan Cohen is a truly gifted and prolific writer. I will read the rest of his books with joy. If you read this, Harlan, keep writing! I am addicted to your books! Shalom.

Classic Myron and Win

One of the best and most well-constructed mysteries yet with Myron and Win. They never stop looking for the answers.

This was great

This was one of the best Myron Bolitar stories. I think I have read them all. It wasn’t predictable and actually had a happy ending, kind of. Too bad some it ended the way it did. I kind of like that Win let Big Ghandi go but he wasn’t a good person. Some tore at my emotions, Myron’s feelings about his parents for one. Well written!
