My daughter is in third grade and is part of a dance team. I bought this book for her after one of the team mom's mentioned her daughter was planning to wear a jazz shoe with a darker tone due to her skin color. The mom recommended teammates read and learn about Misty Copeland. My daughter could not put this book down, she loved it!Highly recommend for all young dancers so there is a more global understanding of diversity in dance!
