Well, there are some points in this book that are a little goofy and don’t make a lot of sense….like the varying ages of vampires at the college and the length of time they spend there just doesn’t make a lot of sense. Why are some 100 years and some are 250 but somehow still 2nd and 3rd year students? Vs the ages of non vampires etc…Anyway… I still enjoyed the story very much and I’m excited for the third installment.
Loved this book. Solid 4 star read. The sprayed edges were ok, slightly underwhelming. But will definitely be reading and buying book two!

He needs to keep an eye on his consort.They hate each other but they can’t keep their eyes from each other either.
Not sure how I’ve never heard of this series but this was a beautiful first book in a series. The characters are complex and interesting. The plot kept me on my toes even if a little expected. The slowest burn but in the best way. Starting the next one asap!
What you liked Fourth Wing?Ok but like what if Draco Malfoy was the wing leader? And he was a vampire that you were forcibly bonded to?This book was hard hitting and action packed from the get go. Waking up on a pile of corpses?I listened to this on audiobook and fell in love with the story so much that I had to have a physical copy as well. And now to have the set pre ordered with these beautiful edges? Shut up.This story is a must read, must listen, must dedicate your life to type story.
