"Evangeline Fox has believed in true love and happy endings - until she learns that the love of her life will marry another. Desperate to stop the wedding and to heal her wounded heart, Evangeline strikes a deal with the charismatic, but wicked, Prince of Hearts. In exchange for his help, he asks for three kisses, to be given at the time and place of his choosing. But after Evangeline's first promised kiss, she learns that bargaining with an immortal is a dangerous game -- and that the Prince of Hearts wants far more from her than she'd pledged. He has plans for Evangeline, plans that will either end in the greatest happily ever after, or the most exquisite tragedy..."--

I enjoy twisted fairytales and stories with just enough magic. This book delivered both. The possibility of a happily ever after is hidden in every plot twist and the surprise ending. Clever Evangeline pushes forward with determination inspite of the obstacles she encounters. Jack, the hero/villain is devious but likable. And like the heroes of mythology he states that there are no happy endings for heroes.
This is my favorite book in the whole world I love it so much
Such a wonderful book. Whimsical and enchanting and funny. A wonderful escape and clean romantasy. I'm not a prude, and this wasn't boring at all. The romance here is still electric. Clear writing and plot. I want to read the series again someday.
Love, betrayal, mystery and magic…I enjoyed this book. It’s an adventure, a journey, a love story and a mystery all pieced together. It’s set in a magical world with a descriptive writing style. Watching the development between main character with them being enemies to possible lovers is what has drawn me in. All in all this book just feels fun in a tormented kind of way for me.
