Soon to be a major motion picture starring Mckenna Grace, Mason Thames, Allison Williams, and Dave Franco.
From #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Ends with Us comes a novel about family, first love, grief, and betrayal that will touch the hearts of both mothers and daughters.
Morgan Grant and her sixteen-year-old daughter, Clara, would like nothing more than to be nothing alike.
Morgan is determined to prevent her daughter from making the same mistakes she did. By getting pregnant and married way too young, Morgan put her own dreams on hold. Clara doesn't want to follow in her mother's footsteps. Her predictable mother doesn't have a spontaneous bone in her body.
With warring personalities and conflicting goals, Morgan and Clara find it increasingly difficult to coexist. The only person who can bring peace to the household is Chris--Morgan's husband, Clara's father, and the family anchor. But that peace is shattered when Chris is involved in a tragic and questionable accident. The heartbreaking and long-lasting consequences will reach far beyond just Morgan and Clara.
While struggling to rebuild everything that crashed around them, Morgan finds comfort in the last person she expects to, and Clara turns to the one boy she's been forbidden to see. With each passing day, new secrets, resentment, and misunderstandings make mother and daughter fall further apart. So far apart, it might be impossible for them to ever fall back together.

Read this one quick as I fully was captured from the beginning. Couldn’t wait to find out the next twist.
Easy read, I enjoyed it but predicable. It seemed a bit over the top that both the male characters had longtime crushes on the female characters in this story.
Super cute book. I really liked the characters and the twist in the book. I have read most of her books!
This is the third book of Colleen Hoover’s that I’ve read, & each, thus far, has spurred so many emotions from me & made me really cry. She’s such a gifted writer.
First I would say this book is written for women. Its a chick book..a fantastic summer read or anytime of year.. its quick and compelling. I started this book because I’m in a new book club. I was going to read a chapter before bed. Okay, maybe just one more chapter to see what happens, .. and that’s how it went all night long. I literally couldn’t put it down. When it was at 80 percent finished at 4:30 am, I stopped only because I wanted to savor the last part-its not the most well written book in the world, I thought the main character WAS a little bit too stiff and “predictable” ,but it certainly has a compelling plot, and I can picture every scene, and I wasn’t bored even once. It draws you in especially if you’ve ever been a teenager, or parented one, if you’ve been at loss as a mother.. or been through massive grief that makes you temporarily act crazy..and I check all the boxes.
