Thought I had read all of Eve and Roarke books and have been rereading them from the beginning, but this one I know I read it but oh boy it was so excellent exciting I love these in death series. I hope they go on forever.
I enjoyed every bit of it! It is hard to take a break from reading… full of actions love and emotions..
Really fast read and very tense. Female character was amazingly strong and resourceful. Fun to read and imagine it all. Rough language and violence. I enjoyed it but it may not be for the faint-of-heart.
I was so mad at Eve for her treatment of Nixie, that I almost decided to stop guy by JD Rob's books. She can stand up and be so brave sometimes, but she let her fear of this child make her cruel!
I’ve read all of the In Death books from the beginning of the series and to me this is the best of them all. The character of Nixie is heroic and strong and powerful especially when you consider her age. The scene of her saying goodbye to her family in the morgue is gut-wrenching and never fails to make me sob. Eve is overwhelmed caring for a child, but her actions and words are perfect. Just have your tissues handy.
