Secrets. Lies. Murder. Let the festivities begin…
It’s the opening night of The Manor, the newest and hottest luxury resort, and no expense, small or large, has been spared. The infinity pool sparkles. The “Manor Mule” cocktail (grapefruit, ginger, vodka, and a dash of CBD oil) is being poured with a heavy hand. Everyone is wearing linen.
But under the burning midsummer sun, darkness stirs. Old friends and enemies circulate among the guests. Just outside the Manor’s immaculately kept grounds, an ancient forest bristles with secrets. And it’s not too long before the local police are called. Turns out the past has crashed the party, with deadly results.
THE GIRLBOSS · THE HUSBAND · THE KITCHEN HELP · THE MYSTERY GUEST
Everyone’s got a secret. Everyone’s got an agenda. But not everyone will survive…The Midnight Feast.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It started off as most thrillers do for me, interested, but not overly fast paced or slow. But I was confused as to where the town folklore was going to take place, but once things started to unfold about he Manor, I couldn't get enough. I am not normally one for different perspectives of a story, because usually scenes are played over and over, this one wasn't. I enjoyed it picked up right where it was left off, just from a different perspective.By the end, I had figured out most of the twists right before they were revealed, but I also don't hate when that happens. However, the last quarter of the book, I needed to take small breaks because it was so stressful thinking about being in the situation that the book was presenting itself. The overall pace of the book was medium, but that last quarter was very fast.
Loved it - fun character development & lots of plot twists! Eerie, dark with a hook. Give it a read.
Loved it! If you loved the Guest List you will love this! Bravo! Encore please!
Lucy Foley is a modern master. The stories she builds are captivating, forcing investment in each developing character. The twists and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat, thrilled till the last page.
