I was expecting some great short stories but found them hard to read. Read 1 (which was a bit of a hard slog) and missed another entirely and skim read another simply because I wanted to know the ending!! I would have given it 0 stars out of 5 but it wouldn’t let me have this option!! Save your money and do not buy. I tried to return it but it’s not giving me the option. Deeply disappointed with purchase and wouldn’t normally leave a poor review because I’d have just returned the book!!
These stories are really cool. Some are little more than vignettes, but the world building is so complete that I got sucked into each one. My only nitpick is that the final story ended so melancholically. I was hoping to finish the anthology on a happier note. Highlights for me were stories by Megan Bannen, Kelley Armstrong, Kelly Andrew, Olivie Blake. Thanks to Titan for the ARC.
