A time traveler's work is never done.
Likable antiques dealer Joseph Bridgeman is back in the present and dreaming of a quiet life. But when a mysterious and enigmatic time traveler arrives in his shop, Joe learns that his first trip was just the beginning and this time, the rules of the game have changed.
Blackmailed into accepting a new mission, Joe is flung back to 1960s London where he comes face-to-face with a ruthless gangster and witnesses the brutal murder of an innocent woman. Joe knows better than most that death can be reversed and the final chapter is sometimes where the story actually begins. Emotionally involved, he has no choice but to act, and quickly. With the help of Vinny, his vinyl-loving sidekick, Joe once again sets out to change the course of history. Sounds simple enough ... but when it comes to time travel, nothing is ever as it seems. Who is the old time traveler working for? And who decides what can and can't be changed?
In a thrilling twist, Joe discovers that the victim is critically important to the future, and what starts out as a straightforward mission soon becomes a race to unravel a mystery--one that threatens the very timeline he fought so hard to protect. Joe must dig deeper than ever, master his newfound skills, and save the woman before the past catches up with him for good.
Turns out time doesn't heal after all. It just adds salt.

I really enjoyed the first book. It was powerful in the way it depicted grief and healing and the power of family. I really got sucked into JB's personal past and his desperation to save his sister. The sequel in my opinion blew the first book out of the water. It's still a personal journey for Joseph since the motivation for him to keep time traveling involved keeping his sister safe and his family together. But it leaves personal for the reader and instead takes a turn into a fun, action packed sci fi adventure. 1960s London is so vivid and such an interesting destination to explore. The cast are full of great characters and I really enjoy the dynamic duo of Joe and Vinny working through their time travel mystery together.
I enjoyed this book much more than the first book. The first book lay down the ground work and this book brought it through to fruition! Now I am wondering about a third or more in this unique line of thought…….
I loved this installment in Joe's story! It was a complete "adventure" in and of itself, yet it leaves openings for so much more development - not only with respect to Joe and his abilities, but also with Alexia, Amy, and even Bill. And, I love Vinny, so I can't wait to see the role his character plays in future plots, as well!I truly look forward to reading the rest of the Joseph Bridgeman series!
In this second installment of time traveler Joe Bridgeman, he is, once again, trying to save his sister, Amy. The book summary lays out the premise of the primary storyline: Joe gets blackmailed into helping another time traveler who threatens Joe by telling him that he will reverse what Joe did to save Amy (in the last book) if he doesn’t save someone else. There is also a secondary storyline of the challenges that Joe experiences since coming back (the end of the previous book) and dealing with the changes in his life because now his life for the past 20+yrs is now different and he has no idea about the other Joe or who he was or how he lived. Joe does know that the “other Joe” totally screwed up Joe’s relationship with Alexia and the present Joe is now doing whatever he can to get back with Alexia. There is also another storyline and that is the issue of Joe’s parents, who are now still alive, together, and healthy (a whole other story). They’re concerned about his because he is very different than the “other Joe”, but they have no idea about Joe’s time travel ability. He tells them he was in an accident and amnesia. This storyline bothered me and that was with the timeline of some events as relayed by the parents. They wed in 1964, and it was indicated that they were married for 38yrs, which would put that in 2002. However, Joe rescued Amy from 1998 and it’s been 20yrs, which means it’s 2018. HUGE STORYLINE FLAW!!! At first, I thought there would be some time travel revelation around the parents and kept waiting for that. It never came.Anyway, the story centered around Joe’s three trips back to the 1962-1963, with one trip including Vinny (LOVE VINNY). That was probably the best part about the whole story. The ending got very intense and scary for Joe as well as for another time traveler. The epilogue was the lead in for the next book, which I hope will be more interesting than this book, which wasn’t as interesting as the first book, hence, the 3star rating. I guess if I could give it 3.5stars, I would, but I'm not feeling compelled to round up.
This is the second book in the Joseph Bridgemnan series and it begins to take us in a new and different direction. After telling the stranger who appears in his shop that he is not interested in the "Time travel club" (those are my words, I can't remember the name of the organization) he immediately finds himself back in the past - this time to 1963. This time, things do not go so well.I liked this book. This book is also narrated by Ray Porter - who is awesome - but still has that one quirky fact surrounding it. For some reason, Joseph is the only character who speaks in an American accent, even though the story is set in London and all of the other characters talk with a British accent. Odd? I know.Joseph discovers that the life he had before he rescued Amy is now gone and with that one event, everything has changed. He ends up being thrown into a life that he has no memories of living because things changed. He inadvertently changed the timeline with Amy's rescue. And, he is finding out that he is not sure he really likes the man that "other Joe" was.The addition of Vinny as a main supporting character makes the book. He is funny, and just perfect as Joseph's wingman. Then there is the case - save the woman from being killed in 1963. Piece of cake, right?Nope, it really isn't....
