My daughter loves this book when she needs a good cry.
Phenomenal book! Can't wait until the Netflix show/movie! This was required reading for an MSW elective class
It came in perfect condition
So good. The book is perfect
A unique take on one's final day - They Both Die at the End lives up to its name, but takes you on a journey to get there.Mateo and Rufus are strangers that have one thing in common - they both received the call that today would be their last day. Both young men couldn't be more different - Mateo is quiet, trusting, and very much a homebody - Rufus is loud, rebellious, and ready to make the most of his last day. The two connect on a site called "Last Friend" - a place where people can sign up and be with a person on their final day. What transpires after the two meet changes them both forever - even if forever is less than 24 hours for both of them. The writing in this was definitely unique - we mostly flip between Mateo and Rufus, but every so often there is the odd chapter from another character in their lives. At first I wasn't the biggest fan of it, but it grew on me as I kept going.I loved the relationship that formed between Rufus and Mateo, how they each grew in their own ways. This was a bittersweet read for sure!
