New York Times, USA Today, and Publishers Weekly bestseller from the acclaimed author of the Shatter Me series! Clashing empires, forbidden romance, and a long-forgotten queen destined to save her people--Tahereh Mafi's first in an epic romantasy series inspired by Persian mythology.
To all the world, Alizeh is a disposable servant, not the long-lost heir to an ancient Jinn kingdom forced to hide in plain sight.
The crown prince, Kamran, has heard the prophecies foretelling the death of his king. But he could never have imagined that the servant girl with the strange eyes, the girl he can't put out of his mind, would one day soon uproot his kingdom--and the world.
Perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Leigh Bardugo, and Sabaa Tahir, this is the explosive first book in a new romantasy series from the New York Times bestselling and National Book Award-nominated author Tahereh Mafi.
"In a tale as exquisitely crafted as one of Alizeh's own garments, Mafi weaves a spell of destiny and danger, forbidden love and courtly intrigue, magic and revolution." --Cassandra Clare, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Last Hours
"This Woven Kingdom is an exquisite fantasy. Rich with clever prose, delicious twists, and breathtaking world building. Prepare to be destroyed--this one will wrench at your heart and make it pound, and in the end it will leave you entirely speechless." --Stephanie Garber, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Caraval series

A most educated author with a beautiful style of writing. The story felt historic as well as fantastical. I loved the careful thought behind the laughs of the characters. The story itself was well spun. Looking forward to book 2
So delicately woven and intricate the story lines and charcater development like its title. The plot twist and turns and directions it can go. Just yes.
I loved this book, and it is so different. The culture that was infused into this book was a breath of fresh air. It reminds me of a few different books, and yet it is still nothing like any of them. I will be continuing with this series and looking at more of Tahereh Mafi's books.
So fresh and yet timeless. Absolutely love the characters, pace of the story and level of complexity. Could have stretched out more on the magistrates and divinators, felt like I was in the middle with not enough view to make the story as impactful as it could be.
I will say it picked up in the last quarter, but it took a while to get there. It did make me curious for book two though. I hope Hazan and Omid are okay.🎧📱
