I bought this book with the intentions of helping my parents understand a little bit better, didnt work. Maybe it will work with better people not bigots
I was looking for a book to provide information and answer questions. This book did just that. It's as if the author was reading my mind.
We have a very special grandchild that is currently transitioning and I wanted to educate myself so that I could be a better, more supportive and respectful grandmother. After nearly 16 years, it is challenging to remember to use the correct name and pronouns but I am determined to do so to give him the respect he deserves. I found this book very helpful.
This book refers to transness as gender identity disorder, which is an outdated classification. The language and insight is transphobic. Would not recommend as a read for anyone.
Starting to explore a support system for myself as the single parent of a non-binary transgender. This book allowed me to identify and validate some confusing feelings. It’s a great start to my transition!
