One of OprahMag.com's Best Romances of 2020

Braden Mack thinks reading romance novels makes him an expert in love, but he'll soon discover that real life is better than fiction.

Liv Papandreas has a dream job as a sous chef at Nashville's hottest restaurant. Too bad the celebrity chef owner is less than charming behind kitchen doors. After she catches him harassing a young hostess, she confronts him and gets fired. Liv vows revenge, but she'll need assistance to take on the powerful chef.

Unfortunately, that means turning to Braden Mack. When Liv's blackballed from the restaurant scene, the charismatic nightclub entrepreneur offers to help expose her ex-boss, but she is suspicious of his motives. He'll need to call in reinforcements: the Bromance Book Club.

Inspired by the romantic suspense novel they're reading, the book club assists Liv in setting up a sting operation to take down the chef. But they're just as eager to help Mack figure out the way to Liv's heart. . .even though she's determined to squelch the sparks between them before she gets burned.

I am so annoyed with this book. I LOVED the first one. This one just doesn’t stop preaching at you about how awful men are. The given situation in the book is definitely grounds for name calling—but just that guy. The author CONSTANTLY is man shaming, and it’s so unnecessary. It really pulled me out of the story, which is unfortunate because I really enjoy her writing and the premise. Also, whoever edited the book did very poorly. There are a lot of mistakes. I mean a lot. I really hope the next book gets back to the heart of the Bromance Book Club.

Laugh Out Loud Banter!!!!

Once again, Andrew Eiden steals the spotlight as my all-time fave narrator, and I can’t help but shower him with love for all his amazing work! I nearly did a happy dance when I found out he’s the voice behind the next gem in the Bromance Series. Bravo, Andrew! You’re a rockstar!Review ~ I couldn't help but burst into laughter at the hilarious banter! The scenes with the rooster attack and the farm were absolutely priceless—bahahahaha! Each moment just keeps getting more entertaining!Braden Mack, a die-hard romance novel fan, is the fearless leader of the Bromance Book Club. Liv Papandreas, a pastry wizard who accidentally turns a cupcake into a disaster on Braden's date and stumbles upon her boss's shady behavior towards a hostess. After getting the boot, Liv turns to Braden for help in exposing the celebrity chef's scandalous antics. Meanwhile, Braden dives into the club's wisdom on love to tackle his own romantic hurdles and take down Liv’s ex-boss. This tale tackles the heavy issue of sexual harassment, shining a light on the tough road Liv travels while trying to unveil her boss’s misdeeds—because let’s be real, many victims hesitate to speak up. Overall, it’s a captivating read that leaves you itching for the next book!

Lighthearted Romantic suspense anyone?

Pastry chef Liv catches her reality cooking show boss sexually harassing a coworker, and he fires her & blacklists her from the Nashville dining industry. She decides to investigate and expose the creep.Braden Mack, a family friend and wealthy night club owner, finds out what she’s up to and tags along. They can’t stand each other 😈, but can they get along long enough to expose a predator? This one seemed faster-paced in most parts than the first one! Definitely wasn’t a rinse and repeat of “Bromance Book Club.” However, we already met both Mack and Liv in the first book. The third act breakup was a little over the top, so this is a 3.75 for me.Not super spicy, but this was a fun frenemies to lovers, rich guy/poor woman book. This book might not be for you if lack of communication tropes tick you off. ❤️

Not quite book 1 but still good

This installment features club owner Braden Mack and Olivia "Liv" sister to Thea from book 1.Liv is a pastry chef who works for a successful celebrity chef who runs his restaurant by abuse and intimidation. When Liv catches him in the act, he fires her and blacklists her from the industry. She is forced to turn to Mack for help in taking him down and preventing more victims. Liv and Mack are both forced to confront their own past traumas and issues and find love along the way. While I enjoyed this book, it was not at the level as book 1. I especially like Mack and the guys in the book club. However, I really did not like Liv. I didn't like her in book 1 either, TBH. I felt like she came across as mean and a jerk too often for my taste ( which is pointed out). I also felt like the preaching on women's rights was a bit excessive. Not that I don't support it, but it felt "speechy."I am looking forward to the next books in the series.

Immediate 5 Star Review

I knew this book would be a 5 star read for me as soon as I started reading. The way Lyssa Kay Adams wrote Liv and Mack were so real and relatable, I didn't want to put it down. I cannot get enough of the Bromance Book Club series.Liv is such a relatable character with her strong, independent woman personality. She don't need no man. Romance tropes are not her thing and she isn't going to be persuaded otherwise. Her past definitely impacted who she is today and it's kind of refreshing to see a woman not instantly forgive and forget. Her character development through the story was also written in a way that I feel every woman can relate. This book left me feeling empowered. "Fear is a powerful motivator, but so is love."
