Amy Wheeler thinks adrenaline is good for the soul. Working in private security, every day is dangerous. She's currently on a remote island protecting mega-bestselling author Rosie D'Antonio, until a dead body and a bag of money mean trouble in paradise. If you have read Richard Osman's Thursday Murder Club books, you may not fancy this book as much. I, however, thought it was great. Even though I am a huge fan of the lovable and familiar characters of The Thursday Murder Club, I enjoyed Mr. Osman's new characters very much. If you keep an open mind when you read this, I think you'll like it very much.
Totally enjoyed this book. The characters were well diverse, quirky, and worked well together. The plot had many twists and turns which makes a mystery fun to read. Liked this better than The Thursday Murder Club series.
The characters are fun and make you care about them. The plot has a lot of capricious twists and turns w/o being incredible. The solution was a bit pedestrian and half obvious from the start.A fun read. Let's see if he can keep it going.
I loved the Thursday Murder Club series so I was of course going to read this one. It was a slow start but the characters definitely grew on me. I definitely couldn’t have guessed the way it ended. I’ll keep reading the series. I hope the author develops Adam more and brings him more into future books.
Loved this great trip around the world with a crazy cast of characters. Richard Osman doesn’t disappoint with his newest book. Highly recommend!
