Relatable and Optimistic

I enjoyed this book which includes a cast of loosely connected and relatably human characters. I like the hopeful tone and the commentary on community and self determination.

sweet, fun read

The stories of the people in the book are so touching and each one had something relevant to say. I highlighted quite a few passages as something to hold onto and apply to my own life.

First 75% pretty good

Majority of book enjoyable, last bits seemed jammed in. As slot of Japanese writers do, their work gives food for thought to life situations- this book would've done well to limit the older life experience chapter.
