I absolutely loved this. The perfect representation of a found family fighting for the home and people who brought them together to begin with. Throw in magic, a sassy fox and a house that will randomly show you things that aren’t there? Say less.
Cozy, magical and heartwarming.
So many memorable and easy to love characters. Especially Martha, the aspiring hobbit with a crush on Aunt Jasmine. The plot was a little slow for me but I did love the characters.
I read and loved Mandanna’s last novel and this one is just as good- if not better. She brings the world of magic to our ordinary lives. Allows adults to imagine a world where magic lives just out of our sight- like Harry Potter but progressive and for adults.
Definitely one of my favorite reads of 2025. Such a warm, cozy story that leaves you entertained and filled with hope.
