The Zodiac Academy series from the Twisted Sisters and Amazon and Wall Street Journal #1 bestselling authors Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti is a Booktok phenomenon. This print re-issue includes an exclusive bonus chapter, brand new world map, and a new cover. As well as the stunning interior chapter pages which were included in the previous edition.

The stars called us.
The Veil closed at our backs.
And now death holds us in its clutches.

We were torn from life before our time, a Savage King, his queen, a betrayed son, a wronged brother, a scorned wife and so many more. We watch those we left behind as they struggle against the grip of the stars, the answers to so many of their questions within our grasp and yet out of their reach.
But what if we could find a way to answer their pleas? What if we could find a way to help them from this side of the divide? And what price would such a thing come at?

***This is a bridging book which takes place beyond The Veil (in the land of the dead) during the events of book 8 in the Zodiac Academy series. It should be read after book 8 to avoid spoilers for that book and holds the answer to what takes place for the characters who are held within the clutches of death by this point in the story, as well as vital clues to the conclusion of this epic series***

so much pain

Too much pain, not enough reprieve. But good as always. I do wish the sisters would proof read their books though

love this!

This was such a fun tandem read with book 8! I loved seeing Hail and Merissa’s povs in this book as well as continuing with Darius’ journey!

Good story...

...but...still the poor editing and wrong word choice causes stumbles. It's so good...and then there's a glaring error. And I get that grammar isn't your first concern when getting it all down, but you need an editor who knows where commas do and don't belong, and what the proper usage of lie vs. lay is.And then there's the fact that fully one-quarter of the book is the memory of the small cabal that stole the four Guild Stones. I'm with Hail: give use the summary. And then there are at least two or three chapters that are repeated verbatim from Book 8. Like...I just read this. Why are you making me wade through it again? Give me a different perspective, give me somebody else's view. Do not make me slog back through the same very long chapters again.

it’s ok

I kind of wish this book was intertwined with the previous one and not its own story. I didn’t like reliving some of the parts. I loved the veil aspect; but I wish it got intertwined with the book more and not its own book. It was still good and informative and interesting.

A nice break

I thoroughly enjoyed all the POVs from beyond the veil. Some were a little dragged out, but the stories were good. This was a nice quick read and you definitely shouldn’t skip over it. It has a lot of important details that contribute to the overall plot.
